Electra O'Hara

Electra O'Hara was Treasurer of SLT from 1959-2000. Born in 1905, she graduated SHS in 1924. She attended college and earned her Bachelor and Masters Degree. She taught from 1925 while attending school and taught until 1971. Professional organizations included MSTA, SCTA, RTA, MBE, Delta Phi Epsilon, Service awards, AAUW,OES, DAR, B&PW. While teaching she was also student council sponsor, started FTA, managed student store, started 1st HS bank and started FBLA. She was named Sikeston Woman of the Year in 1963 and added to the schools Wall of Honor. Electra passed in 2000 at the age of 95.
